Major interest/hobby apart from Motorsports? Music

What, in your life is most awarding? Seeing hard work and effort from everyone come
together for a win!

What gives you energy and lets you think about other things than racing? Competitve
drive, I hate to lose, whether its racing cars or playing Monopoly… I’m really good at
Monopoly by the way!

What do you do to unwind? To be honest fitness training is rather relaxing for me, so I kill two birds with one stone.

What is your favorite city to visit and why? I love San Francisco, I could never live there, but visiting is great as there’s a ton of great food and culture.

Where do you preferably spend your time off? Somewhere warm, I enjoy the heat. San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, perhaps?

Why do you race? As I mentioned before, I have a natural drive to compete, not to mention pushing cars past their limit is a fun challenge for me.

What started you in Motorsports? My boss at an indoor go-kart track noticing that I had some natural ability, he took me under his wing and it’s been a steep learning curve ever since.

Weakness: French Fries, they’re not the most nutritious choice, but man are they good!

Marital status: Single

Most important people in your life and career: My first engineer Bob Earl who taught me everything on a crash course before a season in professional motorsport, Bobby Orgel from PR1 Motorsports, he has helped develop me into the driver I am today, My family for supporting me at all times, and all my sponsors who have contributed in my racing career both financially and in spirit.

Involved in Motorsports since: 2006

Hardest part of racing: I feel it’s the business side of racing that presents the biggest challenge, finding what Is necessary to move forward in your career.

Best moment in career: Securing the 2008 Pacific F2000 Championship as it was my first championship title.

General career goals: Win the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, and to win at Le Mans

Favorite reading: Formula One magazines, or anything racing related for that matter

Favorite music: Kings of Leon

Favorite place to travel to: Mexico, I love Mexican food

Most respected Racer: Sebastian Vettel

Favorite tracks and events: Infineon Raceway, events would probably be F1 for all the technology involved within those cars.

Advice to beginners: Race hard, train harder, and push!

Other Sports interests: Football, Basketball, and Hockey

Occupation if you were not involved in Motorsports: Restaurant/Club owner

Training secret: When it hurts too bad, keep pushing, when you’re about to pass out, just 5 more. It’s those defining mental moments that limit our bodies physically, and breaking those barriers is essential to be on the positive end of average.
